Friendship and Fellowship

The Order of the Arrow offers Arrowmen the opportunity to meet new people and build friendships that will last a lifetime. Arrowmen routinely gather together to work, play, learn and celebrate.

From the very beginning as candidates of the Order of the Arrow, Scouts meet new people and build new friendships. Callout will bring Scouts from various units in the district together in a unique way for the very first time. After the Callout ceremony candidates will often spend time with current members and celebrate the occasion.

During their Ordeal will work together as a team, known as a clan, creating new friendships and building new bonds. Following the Ordeal, the new members gather with old and celebrate with a feast and campfire program. They meet Arrowmen from other Troops and Chapters from around the Council.

After Ordeal Arrowmen with have numerous opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. Through Chapter Meetings and events, Spring, Winter and Fall Fellowships, future Ordeals, the Winter Banquets Arrowmen will Fellowship with fellow Lodge members and continue to grow the bonds of friendship with other. 

Beyond the Lodge Arrowmen will be able to participate in Sectional, Regional and National events like Conclave, NOAC and Jamboree. Here they will meet Arrowmen from neighboring Lodges and around the country. Many Arrowmen develop friendships with Scouts in different states that last a lifetime.
